Little Learners' Literature

Welcome!

Little Learners' Literature is the result of 18 years of parenting, home educating and over a decade of teaching children, writing curriculum and planning large children's events in various church settings. I have a 4 year degree in Psychology/Sociology, a 2 year degree from a Bible College with an emphasis in Children's Ministry and I am currently completing my Master's Degree in Education.

Little Learners involves the parent and the child learning together through reading and play. We vary the activity level from quiet to active in order to accommodate the child's natural rhythm at this young age. Included are lesson plans, field trip ideas, DVD suggestions and activity sheets for books that are easily available at your library or from online book sellers. The "props of learning", tea sets, blocks, stuffed animals etc., are available in your home.

Our Unit Studies cover activities for Math, Science, Social studies, English and Art. Some lessons have Character or Bible elements, but Little Learners' is designed to be adaptable to whatever your religious preference may be. We strive to embrace diversity, but at the same time, I will not use books that I believe contain inappropriate content for any child or that may be offensive to their parents.
